Your information should not be part of the hype.

Value Over Hype does not currently offer reader accounts, comments, a newsletter, or an on-site contact form. We do not use advertising trackers. We use a first-party aggregate page-view counter to understand which articles readers open and where page views come from.

Articles are public. Our traffic dashboard is restricted to the site owner through ChatGPT sign-in. The services that authenticate the owner, host the site, and protect it may process account identifiers and technical information needed to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems. This can include an IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, and timestamps.

Our counter records aggregate totals by calendar day, public page, broad source category (such as Google, Instagram, internal, or direct), device category, and a small set of campaign labels. It does not store IP addresses, visitor IDs, cookies, full referring URLs, arbitrary query strings, or raw browser user-agent strings. Hosting services still process request information as described above.

The counter runs in the browser, honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals, and excludes recognized automated clients and the signed-in owner. It does not measure unique visitors or track people across sites. Aggregates are retained for up to 90 days, with older totals deleted when the next collection request is processed. Only the owner can access the dashboard.

If you email hello@valueoverhype.com or one of our contact aliases, we receive the name and email address you use, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to questions, investigate corrections, and handle review requests or business inquiries. The contact addresses reach the same inbox.

Our business email is hosted through Google Workspace. Google processes email content under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Its Cloud Privacy Notice covers related service data. The website’s email links open your email application; there is no on-site submission form.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information.

Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used by the hosting service for access, security, and reliable delivery. If affiliate links are introduced, a retailer or affiliate network may use tracking parameters or cookies after you follow a clearly disclosed link.

Links can take you to retailers, manufacturers, reference sources, or other websites that Value Over Hype does not control. Their privacy policies and choices apply once you leave this site.

Information may be used to operate and secure the site, manage authorized access, respond to messages, understand technical failures, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of readers or the site.

Value Over Hype does not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that support hosting, access control, or email communications, disclosed when legally required, or transferred if the site’s ownership or operations change.

Technical and access data handled by third-party services follows those providers’ retention practices. Email correspondence and business records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain a correction or business record, resolve disputes, protect security, or meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the purpose of the message; there is no fixed automatic deletion period for this inbox.

You can control or clear cookies through your browser. Email privacy@valueoverhype.com to ask about information you submitted or request deletion when no legal or operational reason requires it to be kept.

Value Over Hype is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

This policy may be updated when the site adds features such as analytics, advertising, affiliate programs, newsletters, or contact forms. The updated date at the top will change when the policy changes materially.
