If your current Kindle is responsive and its battery still lasts, wait. Compare the exact checkout price and delivery estimate before replacing it for a slimmer body alone.

Color is most useful for comics, illustrated books, and highlighted reading. A mostly text-only reader can save money with a Paperwhite or keep the e-reader they already own.
